UGL is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Team Lead to join our team at a refinery in Pinjarra, WA. In this role, you'll oversee project execution, safety, and compliance, ensuring project success through effective planning, cost control, team leadership, and quality management. The ideal candidate will be client-focused, highly resilient, and have a proactive approach to safety.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management: Provide strong leadership, mentoring, and management for all team members (both direct and indirect). Project Delivery & Oversight: Develop, monitor, and report on the project schedule, ensuring effective delivery while managing budgets, schedules, and adherence to technical and quality standards. Address project risks related to schedule and cost, and ensure materials and resources are available for seamless project progression. Safety & Compliance: Uphold a safe working environment by actively participating in safety meetings, inspections, and training. Ensure all team members use appropriate safety equipment, follow safe working procedures, and comply with UGL's HSE policies. Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries from subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and other stakeholders. Skills & Experience Required Extensive experience in a Project Team Lead or similar position, specifically in a high-risk, resources industry. Strong project management expertise, especially in cost control, schedule management, and quality compliance. Proven leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to set clear KPIs, manage performance, and foster a collaborative environment. Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated experience handling technical queries and aligning project goals with client expectations. Qualifications Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification/experience. Applied knowledge of AS9001 Quality Systems. Current Driver's Licence.
