Job Description - Project Controls Manager (262203)
UGL Power Utilities team is currently looking for an experienced Project Controls Manager to join our team based in Perth.
You will be responsible for the production and updating of project schedules, Earn Value Analysis and Reporting for various multidiscipline projects.
The scope of work will primarily be focused on planning and scheduling for future projects in the estimating, bid, and tender phases within our Pre-contracts team.
UGL's Utilities team designs, constructs and maintains critical infrastructure across the water and power sectors, ranging from wastewater treatment plants to power stations.
We design and construct assets including power generation, transmission lines, substations, electrical distribution networks, water and wastewater treatment plants, and water pipelines.

About the Role
Familiarize with the project contract, scope of work and estimate files for key commodities, labour hours etc.
Participate in discussions for application of standard Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) with Project Manager, Contract Administrator (CA) and other team members and consistent use and/or mapping across the project for various systems used on the project such as P6, SAP, FPM, Earn Value Reporting etc.
Perform weekly updates of project schedule, communicate changes in critical path, milestone dates and highlight delays and potential schedule slippages to the project manager.
Develop resource loaded baseline schedules for assigned projects in Primavera P6 system.
Discuss individual scope components of engineering, procurement and construction with relevant project team members and develop level of detail for the schedule activities, sequence of works (logic) as well as labour and non-labour resources.
About You
A relevant four-year engineering degree.
At least 10 years project controls experience (preferably on-site construction related to planning, scheduling, progress measurement, earn value analyses and reporting).
Sound understanding of Project Controls processes particularly critical path method, principles of Earn Value system based on tangible quantities, unit rates and 'Rules of Credits'.
Proficient in use of scheduling software systems particularly Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
