About the role
UGL are currently seeking a suitably qualified Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor to oversee the aspects of a brownfield's construction project in Darwin, Northern Territory. The project will commence in November 2024, with an estimated 6-month duration. You will work a 2/2 roster with a point of hire from: Perth, Darwin or Brisbane. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of the project, meeting quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.
Key responsibility areas Supervise and Lead: Directly manage and lead a team of E&I Technicians and tradespeople to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration in executing project tasks. Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring that all electrical and instrumentation activities adhere to industry safety standards and company policies. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of work meets project standards and specifications. Schedule Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive schedule for E&I activities, coordinating with other disciplines to optimize project timelines. Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, equipment, and materials to meet project requirements and deadlines. Communication: Foster effective communication within the Electrical team and collaborate with other discipline supervisors and project managers to address challenges and ensure smooth project progression. Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve issues related to activities, providing innovative solutions to overcome obstacles. Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of E&I activities, including daily reports, progress reports, and any required project documentation. About You
You will inspire your team, draw on their diverse skills and create an environment where great ideas are heard, and everyone looks out for one another. Ideally you will have:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in E&I supervision on brownfields construction projects. Proficient knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, equipment, and construction techniques. Strong leadership and communication skills. Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and industry best practices. Proven track record of successfully managing electrical teams and delivering projects on time and within budget. Relevant certifications or qualifications in related E&I disciplines. Hazardous areas qualifications preferred. Northern Territory Electrical License What we offer
