Who We're Looking For
We are looking for an experienced UG Fixed Plant Mechanical Technician to maintain and repair our Underground Fixed Plant equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Reporting to Supervisor – UG Mechanical FPM, you will be responsible for assisting with preventative and breakdown maintenance of all Fixed Plant equipment, including general plant maintenance, shutdowns, fault-finding, and project work.
The key responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to): Demonstrate a strong commitment to performing Safe Work executionWillingness to learn and be a part of a teamPerforming, operating and maintenance activities on crushers, conveyor systems, dewatering systems, ventilation systems, pumps and more.Monitoring and reporting on status of equipmentAssist with shutdown, co-ordination, and executionThe successful candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills and experience: A current trade qualification as either a Fitter, Fitter and Machinist or WelderExperience as a Fitter in Fixed Plant or underground mining is desirableExperience on various types of crushers, conveyor systems, dewatering systems, ventilation systems, pumps and moreThe ability to identify major hazards within assigned tasks and implement the correct critical controls prior to starting any workCurrent manual drivers' licenceBasic computer skills and experience with SAP or similar system would be advantageousPlease note: This is a permanent role based in Orange, NSW on a 7D/7X/7N/7X roster.
