Tyre Sales Assistant/Installer - Part Time

Costco RingwoodPart Time 24 hoursRotating roster which will include weekend work and starts from 8am or finishing as late as 10pm. Daily tasks and responsibilities:
Locates member car in tyre shop area of the carpark. Lists any body damage on service order. Drives member vehicle into install bay, onto hydraulic hoist and sets brake. Raises auto.Removes wheel using impact gun. Follows safety and security procedures. Rolls wheel to mounting machine, removes tyre from wheel. Attaches new valve stem, mounts new tyre on wheel, fills tyre to appropriate air pressure.Operates automatic balance machine to get reading of proper weight and placement to balance wheel. Attaches lead weights to rims with lead weight hammer.Re attaches wheels to auto using impact gun and hand torque wrench according to tyre shop procedures.Alerts supervisor or manager to complete 9-point check and authorise vehicle release. Parks member auto in lot, and returns invoice and keys to sales desk.Performs second torque check after manager or supervisor on tyres installed by others.Repairs flat tyres for members.Cleans install area by sweeping, mopping, spraying, wiping.Assists members in determining tyre needs, answers questions and makes product recommendations. Sells tyres using persuasive skills and product knowledge.Invoices tyre purchase and install/repair services. Loads tyres on dolly and transfers to install area.Rings up orders. Receives accurate payment, makes change, process credit and debit charges, gives out receipt and submits order according to proper procedures for paperwork and performance of duties.Calculates refund amount for warranty returns of tyres and auto batteries.Communicates with Tyre Centre manager, buyers, receiving department and inventory auditors regarding special orders, quantity, status, price, delivery and promotion of merchandise.Stocks tyres in sales area in accordance with Tyre Shop Manager's merchandising plan.Follows company policies and procedures.Assists with monthly stocktake (inventory)Assists other areas in the department as necessary.Assists in other areas of the warehouse as necessary.Cert II in Tyre Fitting Preferred*MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENCE* Job Ref: AU2705W.000402
