About the role:An opportunity exists for an experienced OTR Tyre Fitter with a strong safety focus to join our Wilpinjong Mine. Our Wilpinjong mine is an open-cut mine located 58 kilometres northeast of Mudgee producing a high quality thermal coal for export and domestic markets.
You will be part of a dynamic team contributing to the successful performance of the mine along with the following duties:
Mechanical maintenance and tyre repairs on light, medium and heavy vehicles performed in a safe and productive manner;Tread depth measurements, pressure readings and inspections on all heavy earthmoving Mobile Equipment;Actively participate in effective shift change overs and shift Pre-Starts;Complete a detailed written hand over at the end of each shift;Be an active participant in the Continuous Improvement Program;Conduct site hazard reports;Minimise production downtime in the event of breakdowns and scheduled maintenance by using effective shift planning techniques.The lifestyle: This position is offered on a family-friendly rotating panel roster with a mix of days and nights, which is suited to a residential lifestyle in nearby Mudgee district.

About you: To be successful in this role you will have the following:
Proactive role in setting and maintaining a high safety standard;Minimum of a year OTR tyre fitting experience in the mining industry;RIISAM210A remove and fit wheel assemblies or equivalent;RIISAM211B Remove, repair and fit tyres or equivalent;RIIHAN201A Operate a forklift;Cert 2 in Heavy Vehicle Tyre Fitting;Experience in Tyre Maintenance Systems.About Peabody: Peabody is a leading coal producer, providing essential products for the production of affordable, reliable energy and steel.
