The Tanami Expansion 2 project, aims to extend the mine life beyond 2040, investing in a hoisting shaft which will increase the production of the underground mine from 2.6 Mtpa to 3.2 Mtpa. Both the successful exploration within the underground operation and implementation of the first Tanami Expansion has laid the foundation to further develop the operation to remain a major contributor to the Newmont portfolio. About the Role Reporting to the maintenance supervisor, as the Tyre Fitter your primary duties will involve the servicing, repair and maintenance of tyres for our mobile fleet and ancillary equipment whilst working in a safe, efficient and timely manner. Your duties encompass a wide range of responsibilities, from maintenance and repairs to inventory management and stakeholder communication. Ensuring adherence to specifications and meticulous record-keeping are vital aspects of your role. Proactively identifying and addressing equipment issues demonstrates a commitment to quality and efficiency. Maintaining a tidy work environment is crucial for safety and productivity. Key Accountabilities Your duties encompass a wide range of responsibilities, from maintenance and repairs to inventory management and stakeholder communication. Undertake preventative maintenance, repairs and component change out's to tyres of mobile ancillary equipment as directed and according to specifications. Attend training and development programs as directed. Maintain accurate records of activities in a prescribed manner. Ensure all jacking equipment is kept in serviceable condition. Liaise with key stakeholders with respect to equipment and stock. Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of machinery / equipment non-conformance, identify and record any machinery / equipment quality problems, Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels Maintain a high standard of housekeeping at all times Skills, Knowledge and Experience The job requirements indicate a need for a well-rounded candidate with specific qualifications and experience: Post-trade experience in Tyre Fitting showcases hands-on expertise in the field. Relevant Trade Qualifications ensure a solid foundation of technical knowledge. Holding a current Forklift license and Heavy Rigid class driver's license signifies proficiency in operating specialized equipment.
