About The Role
Our client is looking for two talented Freelance Artists with a strong background in webcomic creation to collaborate on the production of a webtoon adaptation of a four-volume novel. This project combines heartfelt storytelling with real-world themes, emphasizing the psychological and emotional journeys of its characters. With production scheduled to begin this summer, this role is pivotal in transitioning the project from pre-production to full-scale production.
As a member of this small, dedicated team, you will contribute to the creation of the WEBTOON, including character redesigns, scripting, formatting, and storyboarding, all while adhering to the established art style. Additional involvement in marketing, promotional art, or game tech (art/programming) is a significant bonus.
This is a long-term project estimated to span five years, with negotiable pay and flexibility for team input to ensure a sustainable workflow.
Requirements Demonstrated ability to storyboard, sketch, ink, flat, and render in a webcomic style Familiarity with references such as Orange by Ichigo Takano, I Love Yoo by Quimchee, and My Hero Academia Proficiency in a collaborative team environment, including adhering to style guides Availability for full-time work and a long-term commitment to the project Seniority level Entry level
