Description
Our client, a well-established, innovative chemical manufacturer, is looking for a hands-on, collaborative Director of Engineering to add to their team in the Nashville area.
You will oversee their Engineering Division (19); from advising on engineering principles to mentoring more junior engineers, you will set the tone of the department.
To be chosen for this role, you must have people leadership experience with a background in chemical, mechanical, or automation engineering.
Your appetite for innovation and intellectual curiosity will not be stifled here.

Responsibilities
Oversee and direct the engineering department (4 Direct/15 Indirect) Establish and enforce engineering standards and guidelines Investigate and resolve issues by identifying and addressing root causes Interpret blueprints, customer specifications, and requirements Drive internal research and development efforts for new products Lead internal initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency Ensure project specifications adhere to top-quality standards Serve as a catalyst for change within the facility Promote and enforce safety protocols throughout the facility Ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and resource constraints Meet with stakeholders to review program status and goals Monitor and manage the department budget Travel as necessary ( Qualifications
