Company Overview:

Phillip Riley Projects has partnered up with a leading player in the renewable energy sector, this company has committed to delivering sustainable solutions for a cleaner future. Our partner company is currently in search of a highly experienced and skilled Turbine Engineer.

Role Overview:

As a Turbine Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and management of technical engineering standards and strategies. Your responsibilities will include providing expert technical and engineering advice on Gas Turbine plant issues, such as troubleshooting technical faults, conducting incident and defect investigations, and endorsing commissioning plans.

You will contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, tools, and systems relevant to the engineering function. During the construction phase, you will undertake or review detailed designs, perform on-site quality assurance checks, and support or review plant performance testing.

A key aspect of your role is to assure the business that major asset risks are effectively identified, assessed, and controlled. You will ensure that controls are adequately designed, implemented, and functioning effectively.

Throughout all activities, you will maintain a strong focus on health and safety, ensuring safe operations and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferably) with industry experience in Gas Turbine power generation. Proven ability to build and sustain strong working relationships through collaboration and engagement with contractors and internal stakeholders. Experience leading technical personnel to effectively deliver goals in a fast-paced team environment. Demonstrated influencing and negotiation skills at all levels of the business. Strong organisational and prioritisation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and consultative skills. Experience in applying Asset Management principles.
