Position: Tuckshop Assistant Commencement Date: January 2025 Employment Status: Term-Time Hours per week: 5hpw Hourly Rate: Services Staff Level 1 - $30.29 Applications Close: 3 January 2025 About us Catherine McAuley College  opened its doors in 2022, in order to meet the growing demand for a quality, Catholic Education in the Mackay region.
Starting with pioneering Year 7's in 2022, they will grow into a complete Years 7 to 12 profile by 2027.
Built on the former site of the historic Mackay Sugar Research Institute, our brand new college offers first class facilities to cater for staff and students to ensure the delivery of quality teaching and learning practices.
Your Role Catherine McAuley College are currently seeking a  Tuckshop Assistant to join their team.
This is a term-time continuing position for 5hpw, commencing from January 2025.
Typical duties include: Ordering stock from approved, reliable suppliers.
Receiving and checking all supplies against invoices and delivery dockets, signing same before handing over to the Principal or nominee for payment.
Handling money and correct balancing of same, counting the daily takings and ensuring that daily takings are delivered to the Finance Assistant for banking.
Follow workplace Health and Safety procedures in relation to the preparation of food and the cleanliness/hygiene of the tuckshop.
Daily cleaning/tidying of the Tuckshop area.
Ensuring all stock is stored in a tidy and clean manner.
Ensuring a high standard of customer service and hygiene is maintained.
About you The successful applicant will have an understanding of, and a commitment to, the ethos of Catholic education.
In addition, you will have excellent time management skills and well developed interpersonal skills.
A Food Safety Certificate would be advantageous.
