Technical Cyber GRC Specialist Are you a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist looking for an opportunity to lead security governance efforts within a dynamic and fast-paced environment?
This role offers the chance to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, providing expertise to enhance and protect bespoke ICT systems critical to Defence operations.
With a focus on vulnerability assessments, validation activities, and accreditation support, this position is perfect for a proactive professional eager to make a tangible impact.
Essential Tasks Act as ITSO, providing security advice, ensuring ICT access controls, and maintaining the Unit Information Systems Security Register.
Conduct vulnerability management, compliance checks, and security incident responses.
Support and execute cyber security assessments, accreditation processes, and security documentation.
Collaborate with SMEs to mitigate risks, implement controls, and advise on security systems design and operations.
Key Criteria Proven expertise in cybersecurity frameworks such as ISM, ACSC Essential Eight, and NIST RMF.
Experience with security governance, vulnerability management, and incident response processes.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Defence technical regulatory requirements.
Current NV2 as minimum.
PV is beneficial and ability to work onsite at HMAS Harman, ACT.
Location: HMAS HARMAN, ACT.
Contract Duration: until 30/06/2025 with 12-month extension options.
Security Clearance: Due to the nature of this environment, candidates are required to have a minimum AGSVA NV2 clearance, with a preference for TSPV clearance to perform this role.
This position is open to Australian citizens with a valid security clearance due to role requirements.
