Job Description The Asset Manager manages, controls, and protects the organization's IT assets (i.e., hardware) throughout their life cycle, from acquisition through final disposition. In addition, the IT Asset Manager designs, develops, and implements the organization's asset management strategy.
The Asset Manager will develop and implement the asset management framework throughout the organisation, aiming for integration and a consistent approach across all teams. It is expected the incumbent will be a key member of TSA's Asset Management Steering Group, helping to drive improvement in TSA's asset management capability.
The role requires the ability to plan for the provision, maintenance, and renewal of assets via guiding policies, strategies and detailed plan documents. The accurate recording, analysis, and maintenance of large quantities of data will form the foundation of the planning process.

You will be responsible for:
Act as the first point of contact for IT asset inquiries via phone or email. Utilise asset management tools to track, analyse, and review data. Develop processes for asset control, reconciliation, and disposal. Monitor IT asset lifecycle, ensuring productivity and cost efficiency. Assist in inventory, procurement, and shipment activities. Ensure software license compliance and monitor usage standards. Collaborate with management on cost savings, compliance, and service improvements. Maintain strong relationships with Operations, suppliers, and partners. Ensure audit compliance and oversee asset deployment and replacement policies. Guide and support IT asset associates in daily operations. Optimise underutilised hardware assets for efficiency and ROI. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and databases for asset management. Plan and manage IT hardware lifecycle strategies, ensuring policy compliance. Produce and analyse asset registers, including software, licenses, and agreements. Resolve instances of unauthorised or unlicensed assets. Apply procurement processes for effective purchasing and contract management. Manage IT hardware portfolio with a focus on risk, cost control, and compliance. Lead a team of IT Asset Analysts and act as a subject matter expert. Optimise IT hardware usage, deployment, and cost. Oversee acquisition, tracking, security, and disposal of IT assets. Qualifications About you:
Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products. Advanced Microsoft Excel & Word skillset. Excellent coordinating and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver within appropriate timelines. Experience asset management in IT or other related support role is preferred.
