A bit about the role You will work with a dedicated team of finance professionals located in offices across Australia focusing on ensuring BNK's trust accounting requirements are managed but will also step in to support the finance team with end of month and other financial processes.
What you will bring Degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum 3 years' finance experience worked within a banking or financial services environment essential Proven experience in a fast-paced, highly transactional environment Experience with Interfi and Tech One, highly regarded Strong Excel skills essential Strong communication and problem-solving skills with ability to analyse outcomes against expectations Ability to see the big picture and align actions to agreed outcomes Understanding of professional standards and an appreciation for confidentiality Highly accurate and numerical mindset Flexible and ability to adapt to changing priorities Self-motivation, drive, ability to work independently with strong attention to detail Key Responsibilities Trust Accounting Responsibility for the daily transactional flows and reconciliations relating to the Trusts where BNK holds an interest.
You will be responsible to:
Complete all accounting processes to enable the transfer of data from Trust core systems (Temenos and Interfi) to relevant BNK systems Ensure all daily transactions are accurately accounted for in both BNK Bank and Trust Accurately complete all reporting requirements and end of period suite of documents to Trust manager within contracted timelines Work alongside Trust manager to deliver funding requirements for settlements/collections Ensure End of Period reconciliations are completed and validated to bank account balances within strict timelines Work alongside operational team to resolve items unreconciled Ensure systems remain accurate and integrations with third parties align to security controls Development of improved procedures for integrated transactions flows Provide relevant input into project teams in line with experience. Monthly Accounting tasks Supporting other Finance team members of the Bank through preparation during the month of standard operational tasks including, but not limited to:
Transactional processing of datasets relating to third party systems integrations with Tech One GL System Responsibility for the reconciliation of CBS to GL Bank Rec using integrated tools with particular focus on the use of Interfi/Temenos Resolution of misaligned transactions (Bank or Trust) within same month of occurrence Consider, discuss and implement agreed improvements to finance tasks Assisting in Project tasks relevant to experience Documentation of standard operating processes. End of Period Support In conjunction with the whole Finance team, assist in the end of month closure process in particular:
Ensuring transactions are processed accurately and timely Complete all balance sheet reconciliations you have responsibility for Deliver accurate timetabled outcomes Create supporting reconciliations for Audit as requested Support group team members as directed and within experience About BNK BNK Banking Corporation Limited (BNK) is an ASX-listed financial services company.
