This is a unique opportunity for experienced Heavy Vehicle Technicians like you to join our new team and contribute to our growth.While Patterson Cheney Trucks Pakenham is being constructed, the selected candidate will work from the Patterson Cheney Trucks location in Keysborough.About the role:As a Truck Reconditioning Roadworthy Technician, you will assess and recondition trucks to ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards for roadworthiness. Your expertise will ensure our customers receive reliable and safe vehicles. Conduct thorough inspections of trucks to identify necessary repairs and maintenance for roadworthy compliance.Prepare vehicles performing reconditioning tasks, including all mechanical repairs.Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake replacements.Utilise diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve vehicle issues accurately.Ensure all work is completed following safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.Collaborate with the workshop controller and service team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.Ensure timely and efficient repairs.About you:Relevant trade qualifications and roadworthy certificate for heavy vehicles.Experience in truck reconditioning and roadworthy inspections is preferred.Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.Valid heavy vehicle driver's license is required.On Offer:Salary negotiated on experience plus overtime.Opportunity to work with a reputable and established automotive dealership group.Great opportunity to join a brand-new modern dealership.Continuous factory/manufacturer training.Opportunity to learn and progress your career in the group.Access to Patterson Cheney Group dealership discounts, including New and Used vehicles, Servicing, and Parts.Job security with a strong and growing independent privately owned business.And don't forget a great culture, providing support and a bit of fun!How to Apply:If you are a passionate Heavy Vehicle Truck Technician with an RWC looking for an exciting opportunity, we want to hear from you!
