Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic red trucks to deliver for customers? As our HRTruck Driver (Auto fine)in our Transport team at Mile End, you'll be the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You might not be working from home, but you'll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn't get better than that!
This opportunity is initially offered on a casual basis working a variety of shifts and as such full flexibility is required. The rate of pay is $35.67/hr inclusive of casual loading. A further 15% for day shifts or 30% for night shifts is added along with a tonnage allowance per shift.
You'll be Safely loading your truck with cages for delivery Completing your own daily vehicle safety check Driving our modern trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and pick-ups Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups About you You're friendly, enthusiastic and reliable, and love autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player. You're passionate about making a difference in the community.
You'll also need to Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident Hold a relevant heavy rigid license Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills You will need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or less Be fit enough to load and unload parcels of all different shapes, sizes and weights up to 16kg Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and national police checks.
