About the opportunity
Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic blue trucks to deliver for customers? As our Medium RigidTruck Driverat our friendly team at our Premium StarTrack Facility based at Adelaide Airport, you'll be the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You might not be working from home, but you'll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn't get better than that!
Enjoy a sleep in or have morning commitments? This permanent full time role works from 12pm - 7.36pm with overtime Monday to Friday, carrying out a range of activities including 2-3 bulk collections then freight handling and 1-2 bulk deliveries in the evening to Qantas. Our MR Driving role will see you carrying out a variety of activity, lots of physical tasks and driving. This role pays $30.81 per hour, a 17.5% penalty loading and over time rates along with 12% superannuation.
You'll be Freight handling up to 30kg with teammates at the facilityCompleting your own daily vehicle safety checkDriving our modern trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and pick-upsReturning to our facility to unload pick-upsAbout you You're a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable personality who loves autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player. You're passionate about making a difference in the community.
You'll also need to Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident Hold a relevant MR or HR vehicle license Be fit enough to load and unload freight items of all different shapes, sizes and weights up to 30kg, frequently in and out of a truck. Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills You will need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or lessBe prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening, and carry out a driving assessment and national police checks.
