About the role Our Truck Drivers are responsible for providing reliable and safe movement of mobile fleet, heavy equipment, and plant between Orica sites and Projects on the East Coast of Australia.
You will be based at our Mount Isa Depot on a 5/2 or 4/3  roster.
You may be required to stay overnight when on the road and interstate travel may be required from time to time.
What you will be doing Operating Orica's fixed and mobile plant safely, efficiently, and to Orica's guidelines; Being the subject matter expert on vehicle and equipment movements within the region; Training new staff and assisting with driver training as required; and Undertaking various tasks around the Depot including, but not limited to, manufacturing, loading and unloading trucks, conducting maintenance work orders and general depot yard work.
What you will bring Heavy combination licence (HC) is essential ; Forklift licence and experience in operation; Previous experience driving a tilt deck trailer or float and transporting heavy equipment would be highly regarded; Practical understanding of permit requirements for over-dimensional loads; Ability to obtain a Permit to Work; A clean police record in order to obtain a Dangerous Goods and Explosives licence; The ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening; and Sound mechanical aptitude.
