We are looking for an experienced and capable Road Train Driver to join our team.
You will be required to operate between all our properties (predominantly being based in the Longreach area) and also take cattle to sale yards and meat processors when required.
Requirements
You will be an energetic multi-skilled individual with a positive mindset and a genuine aptitude for and interest in mechanical equipment and trucks, who can work safely whilst unsupervised. Our ideal candidate will have:
HC or MC license.
Experience transporting livestock.
Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed on time, accurately and to a high standard.
A commitment to working safely and ability to follow procedures.
Communication skills & a good team player.
Reliable and trustworthy.
Ability to complete road train maintenance & minor servicing.
Basic numeracy & literacy to maintain log-books and records as required.
Experience operating heavy machinery – advantageous (e.g., grader, loader).
Remuneration
Attractive daily rate of pay dependent on skill level.

Key Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities
This role is primarily responsible for ensuring livestock is safely transported.
You will be required to operate in line with best practice animal handling and animal welfare standards, as well as our various Organic certification requirements.
You must undertake basic servicing and upkeep of your truck and trailers and attend to minor maintenance and repairs.
From time to time you may be required to help the livestock and maintenance teams. You must adhere to safe work practices in accordance with our WH&S policies and procedures, and our various Organic certifications.
