Job Description: As a Professional Driver at SEQH, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery and collection of shipping containers and various cargo.
Your responsibilities will vary depending on your experience level but may include: Safely transporting cargo to and from our depot in Hemmant.
Completing timesheets accurately and promptly, providing necessary documentation to the Transport Fleet Allocator.
Interacting closely with customers to coordinate container movements and deliveries.
Adhering to schedules provided by the Transport Fleet Allocators and following all road laws and safety regulations.
Performing pre-start checks on equipment and conducting maintenance as required.
Upholding the goals of the Chain of Responsibility, including load restraint and fatigue management.
Participating in company training programs and inductions as required.
Key Requirements: For Experienced Drivers: Hold a current HC or MC class Licence.
Experience in general freight transport, particularly palletised cargo, is preferred.
Positive and proactive attitude with a commitment to safety.
Availability for Monday to Friday shifts, with occasional Saturday work if available.
Knowledge of applicable legislative requirements, including the Chain of Responsibility.
Evidence/copy of 5-year Traffic History.
For Entry-Level Drivers: Recently obtained an HC or MC class Licence.
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Availability for Monday to Friday shifts.
Commitment to safety and willingness to follow company policies and procedures.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
