We are an agile, diverse and growing business, but our people are what make Hallett Group such a great place to work.THE ROLE - Truck and Five Axel Tanker Driver (Permanent, Full time, Night Shift)We operate a modern fleet of around 30 prime movers of various configurations from PBS twin steer truck and 6 axle dog tippers, semi tippers through to B Double and A Double/triple road-trains.
We also operate 8 cement powder tankers ranging from singles, road trains and PBS compliant twin steer truck and 5 axle dog cement tankers.Our team of professional drivers pride themselves on their safety performance and ability to work independently and problem solve on the job.We are looking for a full time, experienced Truck and Five Axel Tanker Driver to undertake transport of bulk cement products between our dry creek site to metro and regional Hallett concrete plants.
As one of our drivers you will be available 5 nights a week Mon-Friday (10-12 hour shifts) and will be operating a fleet of Kenworth twinsteer trucks with 5axle trailers and single cement tankers.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESSafe operation of heavy vehicles including reporting all incidents and assessing risksUnderstand and adhere to National Heavy Vehicle legislation and WH&S ProceduresConduct daily pre-start checks and report all maintenance issuesComply with ongoing drug and alcohol screening and other site access requirementsRepresent Hallett Group in a professional manner to the general public, road users and customersMaintain vehicles to company standardsParticipate in toolbox meetings and ongoing training and developmentQUALIFICATIONS | EXPERIENCE | CAPABILITIESMinimum licence requirements - HC unrestricted licence (essential)Experience operating relevant vehicle type (desirable)Competency in Basic Fatigue Management and Mass Management (desirable)To be considered for this position applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks (such as pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing, national criminal history check) and provide a copy of their relevant licences/tickets upon request.APPLY NOWTo be considered for this position click "APPLY" now.
