About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced full time Warehouse Supervisor, based at our Henderson Site - off Russell Road, approx. 30 minute drive South of Perth CBD . We also work a compressed 9-day fortnight, enjoy every second Friday off!!
Your primary responsibility will be managing and directing the allocation of raw materials and/or finished products to customers, ensuring cost-effective order-to-delivery processes, leading your team of approx. 25 people, to ensure optimisation and performance to enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Your other key responsibilities will be:
Lead a large team of warehouse professionals in the unloading, storage and distribution of finished products to customers via Ocean, Rail & Road. Demonstrated leadership in upholding the highest levels of safety standard. Ensure the order to delivery process is achieved at the lowest cost to the customer. Ensure all containers and trucks are loaded or unloaded as planned. Ensure quick and effective responses are made to queries and complaints from customers regarding the logistics processes, including complaints regarding carriers. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations regarding all elements of logistics and product movement. Ownership of finished goods inventory at respective warehouse locations (mainly Henderson). Identify opportunities and develop proposals for improving product availability, controlling inventory costs and optimizing the inventory flow of goods within the organization and to customers. Participate in improvement initiatives. Knowledge of SAP and an understanding of the impact on other systems and users within the company. Trained as a functional backup for the Distribution Manager. Participate in distribution-related reporting and analysis. Analyze processes to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen internal controls. Monitor performance of all carriers to optimize customer satisfaction. To be successful in your application, you will ideally possess:
