Chef Role at a Busy Restaurant:
Trison Enterprises Pty Ltd operates a busy restaurant in Geelong, seeking an experienced Chef to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organise and oversee kitchen operations, including breakfast, lunch or dinner services on a rotational basis.Prepare and supervise food preparation, designing specials, seasonal menus and menus for functions.Provide costings for new menu items and develop recipes with management and chefs.Train staff on menu aspects and oversee stock levels, coordinating supply with other culinary staff and management.Manage rosters for back of house staff, interview and advise on hiring kitchen staff.Ensure food quality and standards are met during service, responding to dietary needs and accommodating queries.Implement food safety regulations, workplace safety procedures and train staff on recipes and cooking methods.Participate in meetings with management, front and back of house staff to plan customer dining experiences and troubleshoot issues.Requirements:
Australian Qualifications: Certificate IV or Diploma with 1-2 years work experience.3 years relevant work experience may substitute formal qualifications.Remuneration:
$73,000 - $75,000 + Superannuation (commensurate with qualifications and work experience).
