Destination Sport ExperiencesTravel Sales ConsultantThis hybridrole is based in our Sydney, NSW office, you must live within a commutable distance.Destination Sport Experiences, through its' global sports travel brands Marathon Tours & Travel and Sportive Breaks cater for those who want to participate in the very best cycling and running events across the world. All three brands offer tours, travel packages, and guaranteed entry to marathons, cycling events around the world, together with VIP hospitality access to many of the top professional cycling events as well as managing travel programs for mass participation events on behalf of charities, companies and groups throughout the year. We are a proud partner of many of the Abbott World Marathon Majors and work closely with major sports events organisers across the globe. The team behind Destination Sport Experiences regularly participate in running and cyclingevents, as well as helping to manage events and support our clients on their journey through each event, so we understand the needs of those travelling with us. https://www.marathontoursandtravel.com.au/ http://sportivebreaks.com.au/Due to exciting growth within the division, we are looking for an experienced Travel Sales Consultant to join our Sydney based team. The focus of this role is to be passionate about offering exceptional levels of service and enjoys creating memorable experiences for our customers.No two days are the same in this sales focussed role, but on a typical day you will:Create and manage end to end travel bookings tailored to each customer's needsProvide excellent levels of customer service experience that can't be felt anywhere elseAchieve and exceed set sales targetsResearch and maintain an extensive knowledge of travel industry products, systems, and processesProactively respond to and generate enquiriesAchieve sales targets by offering our clients a range of services and upsell enhancementsIdentify each client's needs and preferences to propose products that meet their needs and expectationsEnsure sales opportunities are maximisedHandle enquiries and reservation requests from clients, completing reservations using company-nominated systemsGive accurate quotations to each client and effectively convert to bookingIdentify any operational problems or potential complaints as soon as they are apparent, so that they can be resolved as quickly as possibleProduce accurate documentation for all bookingsRespond and follow up on all client requestsComplete all details for each client's holiday within relevant systems, ensuring that information required is entered accurately and consistentlyStore accurate information relating to our clientsEnsure quality control procedures are maintained and continually improvedBe responsible for final document checks before sending out to a clientTo be successful within this role, our ideal candidate will:Have working experience within a similar role within the travel industry(sports travel experience would be highly desirable)Be confidentin planning & managing own tripsDemonstrate experience dealing with high volumes of email and call requests, processing complex travel bookingsHave exceptional administration & organisational skills with the ability to multitaskPossess excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to communicate to a variety of stakeholders both internal & externalDemonstrate excellent attention to detailBe computer literate with strong IT skills: especially with Microsoft packages (Excel, Word,)Demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional customer serviceHave the ability to keep calm in an often demanding roleKnowledge of travel management systems and/or tracking systems would be highly advantageousHave a passion for sport and travelBe willing to travel domestically & internationally per business needsSo if you have a passion for sports, and are looking for your next challenge, take a look and get in touch we'd love to hear from you!
