We play a vital role in supporting the resource sector by delivering high-quality catering, hospitality, and facilities maintenance services, ensuring smooth operations for our clients.We are seeking a Travel and Accommodation Manager for 12 Month Parental Leave Cover.
This role will form part of the Command Centre Team, based in our Balcatta office, WA.
This dynamic and pivotal position will be responsible for managing travel and accommodation services for the IFMS Rio Tinto portfolio, mobilising Sodexo employees, third-party contractors, and agency/relief coverage to site across the Pilbara region of Western Australia who support on-site operations and project deliverables.Key accountabilities of the role include:Managing a high performing Travel and Accommodation Team supporting both rostered and ad-hoc bookings.Managing and nurturing the client relationship on behalf of Sodexo, acting as the key liaison to align to contractual obligations for travel process, system usage and Sodexo room allocation and utilisation across the portfolio.Manage any impacts resulting from aviation industrial strike action and similar external events impacting flight schedules both commercial and charter.Provide technical and complex problem-solving expertise.Project owner for continuous improvement activities including system development and onboarding new contracts requiring travel services within the Command Centre.Stakeholder engagement to support business requirements, particularly regional managers across all sites.Other key activities of the role include management of:Commercial and charter flight, village room, hotel and vehicle hire bookings.Changes and cancellations.Room planning, optimisation, and utilisation.Regional and interstate flight bookings.Flight no-show and administrative cost reporting and management.Financial month-end reporting and general performance reporting.This role plays a critical part in supporting our client and regional site operations teams ensuring strong system, compliance, data, and high-volume workforce movement management.
Technical expertise, problem solving, and strong customer service skills are applied to resolve issues and generate creative solutions which benefit all internal stakeholders and our client.Qualifications and experience required:2+ years' experience in workforce or logistics management / Travel and Accommodation management or alternative leadership role.Diploma in Management/Leadership or equivalent, preferred.Background in remote site travel & accommodation management.Experience using INX (or equivalent) and/or AMEX Serko, desirable.Understanding of rostering principles, desirable.Along with the following skills and expertise:Well-developed leadership skills to effectively direct and support a diverse team.Pragmatic and solutions focused, with strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Confident and effective communication and presentation skills, able to influence and negotiate effectively at all levels.Demonstrated experience in Change Management and implementing process improvements.And, proven ability to:Establish priorities and work pragmatically to achieve targets and meet deadlines.Motivate people, set clear expectations and ensure the consistent achievement of deliverables.Develop stakeholder relationships at a senior and client level.Understand key stakeholder requirements and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.Develop and sustain a positive customer centric culture.Analyse performance data and report on trends and opportunities.Communicate effectively at all levels both verbally and in writing.Identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively to reduce impact to service delivery and stakeholders.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-performing team within a global organization that is a leader in the operations, maintenance, and refurbishment of non-process infrastructure.
