About the role We're seeking a Senior Analyst Performance Optimization to generate insights and analytics to investigate and pursue revenue and cost leakage opportunities across all Transurban assets and retailers.
You'll join an innovative team who collaborate closely with other members of the Customer Insights team to readily surface key asset and customer insights, triggers and trends and consequently design and implement data-driven solutions.

Day-to-day, you will: Provide analytics and recommendations for system, process, or customer contact to meet the needs of the various markets and business units. Perform and coordinate bespoke analysis to identify and evaluate opportunities for improvement – both in terms of toll/fee revenue generation and also cost. Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement, realization, or customer and operational processes. Drive the design and execution of change initiatives, including engagement of relevant stakeholders across the business, implementation, monitoring, and communication. Demonstrate effective communication to a variety of people – including detailed technical discussions, and an ability to translate complex concepts into a meaningful business context. Work closely with the Advanced Analytics and Data Science Lead and analyst to identify the use and benefits of data-driven opportunities and tools, such as propensity models, forecasting, triggers, and automation. Work closely with the Revenue Assurance & Operational Reporting and Customer Reporting teams to ensure that key insights can be surfaced and actioned close to 'real-time'. Be able to 'tell the data story', linking asset, market, and customer performance and communicate this to senior leaders across customer and the markets. This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferable skills and experiences, including: Advanced SQL experience. A passion for using data and reports to facilitate an understanding of the business and customer behaviour. Great analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent numerical accuracy. Experience in working with large complex customer billing and collection systems. Experience in the reporting of data. Well-developed understanding of data and data structures, including the ability to interrogate data. Advanced computer skills generally; Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint are essential. Tableau and PowerPoint – intermediate. Capability in preparation of regular reporting material with thorough attention to detail and demonstrated commitment to quality. Tertiary Qualifications in a Mathematical, Statistical, Business Information, Actuarial or relevant science or financial degree.
