We are committed to providing reliable, high-quality logistics services and fostering a strong, safety-first culture among our team.The OpportunityWe are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Supervisor to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of all our Transport distribution activities, primarily overseeing operations at our highly respected customer distribution centres.As the Night Transport Supervisor, you will be the key point of contact for MJ Mahon Transport drivers, ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, people management and maintaining high service standards.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee Night operations alternating across two large distribution centres.Function as the primary point of contact for MJ Mahon drivers.Ensure drivers adhere to Transport Management System (TMS) processes, including pre-start checks and coupling/uncoupling to company standards.Monitor and audit driver paperwork for compliance and accuracy.Maintain strong relationships with both drivers and customers.Conduct toolbox talks and return updates to head office promptly.Ensure equipment cleanliness and perform minor repairs when necessary.Assist with driver training and development.Troubleshoot and manage breakdowns, ensuring timely communication and resolution.Coordinate trailer docking and parking according to operational needs.Consult with the Transport Manager to align equipment servicing schedules using MJ Mahon Asset Maintenance system.Ensure timely and accurate completion of all email correspondence and reporting.Driving tasks – As Required.Weekly RosterSaturday to Tuesday – EveningsEssential Qualifications and Skills:Licensing: HR License minimum requirement must be willing to upgrade to Multi Combination (MC) driver's license.Experience: Proven experience as a Transport Supervisor including:Safety and Compliance managementOperational ManagementPeople ManagementCustomer ServiceProblem Solving and Decision MakingTechnology and SystemsCold Chain LogisticsBasic Fatigue Management (BFM)Skills: Strong work ethic, leadership, computer (Microsoft Office), organisational and time management skills.Working Conditions:Hours: varied hours to suit business requirementsSalary and Benefits:Fully Maintained VehicleFuel CardHow to Apply:Please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your experience to ******.
