Transport Supervisor

Position Overview  ANC is looking for a highly motivated Allocation Supervisor to inspire, lead, and support the team responsible for planning, routing, and allocating deliveries (Allocation Team) to ensure efficiency and on-time performance for ANC's clients.
This role involves fostering a high-performance culture, optimising delivery processes, and maintaining strong relationships with Delivery Professionals (DPs) and internal teams.
You'll be crucial in ensuring excellent service delivery, meeting key performance indicators (KPIs), and contributing to ANC's ongoing success.
What you'll be doing  Routing Optimisation & Allocation: Lead and guide the Allocation team to ensure the effective planning and allocation of deliveries, optimizing fleet productivity and cross-utilisation.
Collaborate with onsite team to manage rostering based on client needs and work volume.
Team Leadership & Development: Coach, motivate, and support the Allocation team to drive a positive and high-performance culture.
Focus on driver retention and effective communication, addressing any conflicts or concerns in a constructive manner.
Performance & Relationship Management: Monitor team performance, ensuring deliveries are completed in line with client expectations and KPIs.
Resolve escalated client and driver issues, ensuring timely, professional responses.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline routing and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with the team to enhance workflows and improve the driver experience.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and compliance principles.
Foster a safety-conscious culture and support the reporting of hazards and incidents.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other teams, to resolve operational challenges and drive continuous improvement across the delivery process.
What are we looking for  Experience : 3-5 years of experience in a transport, logistics, or similar environment, with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve performance targets.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Freight Management Systems (FMS), routing software, and data-driven decision-making.
Relationship Management: Proven ability to build positive relationships with internal teams, clients, and Delivery Professionals.
Communication & Problem-Solving: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to resolve issues and provide clear direction in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptability & Efficiency: Ability to manage multiple tasks with conflicting demands and meet deadlines, maintaining high-quality work under pressure.
Safety Focus : Solid understanding of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), routing software, and other industry systems.
