The Opportunity We seek a proactive, experienced Transport Supervisor for the Afternoon Shift (2 pm-10 pm) to join our Health Services Business Unit based on-site at Silverwater, NSW.
To support your success, you will lead the PM driver shift and be supported by a wider team of coordinators, leading hands, and management.
Monitor driver performance, maintain safe driver practices as per regulations, and ensure driver coverage.
Continuously manage and review transport activity, make scheduling changes for drivers and vehicle coverage, and ensure that all transport tasks are conducted in accordance with statutory requirements and completed in accordance with the fatigue management plan.Maximise fleet utilisation, review fleet routing and delivery schedules with truck drivers, ensure service coverage, plan proactive annual leave, manage incidents and investigate, conduct drug and alcohol testing, and conduct fatigue reviews and audits.Effective and visual communication with the Driver Team on expectations and objectives for the month ahead through toolbox talks, conducting required driver training, and maintaining visual performance reports.Apply continuous improvement methodologies for all transport-related matters and improved transport planning.Build and lead a cohesive team of transport staff in the PM shift to ensure optimal performance and a proactive approach that consistently delivers high-performance outcomes.About You Transport experience in a management or supervision capacity.Demonstrated technical and analytical ability to identify and define problems, extract key information from data to identify patterns or trends, test and verify the cause of the problem, and develop solutions to resolve the problem.You will have demonstrated skills in relationship management coupled with a high level of written and verbal communication.You lead from the front and have a track record of exceptional people management skills in building rapport, change strategies and setting the pace, coaching, mentoring, people development, and performance management.You are tech-savvy and can pick things up quickly.
