Working closely with our Metro and Linehaul Logistics Drivers, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective allocation and coordination of daily inbound and outbound freight movements.
We need someone who is flexible with working hours and has the ability to work shifts varying from an early to mid-morning start.Duties:Effectively create and book the daily metropolitan and linehaul fleet pick-up and delivery schedules.Plan line haul drivers and schedule regional trucks and trailing equipment.Plan loads in accordance with customers' delivery requirements for the drivers to execute.Ensure drivers comply with company and customer paperwork requirements.Requirements:Outstanding knowledge of the Perth metropolitan area and of Regional WA.Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and adapt to change quickly.Remain positive whilst working under pressure.Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills as you will be in daily liaison with internal and external stakeholders.Proven planning, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to work through issues with moderate complexity.Medium to advanced MS Office skills (Excel & Word).Previous experience within the transport and logistics industry would be highly regarded.Most importantly, you are a team player who can work with all parties to ensure the success of the operations of the business.
