The Opportunity:Reporting to the Head of Logistics Development, this role is central to driving rapid growth by developing innovative, customer-focused logistics solutions by generating analytics and insights.
Your key responsibility will involve leveraging data to optimise transport and employing advanced transport simulations for the existing business, while also offering insights for new customers and tenders.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, passionate about analytics and enjoy collaboration with wider business units bringing a strong understanding of logistics, supply chain dynamics, and optimisation strategies.
What you will do: Analyse logistic processes identifying inefficiencies and recommend improvements to reduce costs, increase service, and enhance service quality.Monitor and assess the performance of logistics operations using key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards.Analyse delivery routes to reduce KM's, costs, empty running, and delivery times while maintaining service quality.Optimise routes and logistics plans to support the organization's environmental goals.Lead and manage cross-functional projects to optimise logistics workflows and deliver results within time and budget constraints.Develop project plans, assign resources, track milestones, and manage risks to ensure successful implementation of optimisation initiatives.Collaborate with Solutions Design to identify and provide insights on continuous improvement to the new or existing customer's operational design.Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance, project status, and optimisation outcomes to senior management.
What you will bring: 3+ years analytical experience, ideally gained within the logistics or supply chain industry.Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, and data visualization software.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with safety management systems/software platforms preferred.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to successful completion.A passion for using data and reports to facilitate an understanding of the business and customer behaviour.Excellent communication skills: Written, verbal, reporting & presentations.Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
