Details of the offer

Transport Operations Supervisor Title: Transport Operations Supervisor Contract type: Permanent / Full Time Location: Melbourne Consultant name: Kylie Eadie Consultant phone number: +61 +61420969595 Description ABOUT OUR CLIENT: Our client is a leading Melbourne-based refrigerated transport provider with a strong presence along the Eastern Seaboard.
They work with a wide range of clients, from food manufacturers to FMCG retailers, delivering time- and temperature-sensitive freight across local and interstate routes.
Their core strength is their small, dedicated team managing a fleet of 85 prime movers.
ABOUT THE ROLE: As the Transport Operations Supervisor, your key responsibility is overseeing the smooth, safe, and efficient running of all local and linehaul movements.
You'll manage communications received via email, text, and phone about deliveries, client requests, route changes, and loads to ensure issues are promptly resolved.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR: It is essential that you have experience working for a road transport business where transport is the core function of the organisation.
This means working directly within a transport business, rather than for a manufacturer or supplier that uses third-party transport companies.
We are looking for candidates who understand the unique demands and operations of a transport-focused environment, such as fleet allocation, load planning, and driver troubleshooting.
Candidates who have progressed from the driver's seat into operations are encouraged to apply, as are those who have worked in the refrigerated transport space.
WHY CHOOSE THIS ROLE?
Outstanding Work-Life Balance: With fixed hours from 4:00 am to 12:00 pm, you'll enjoy afternoons free for personal time, whether it's hobbies, family, or other commitments.
This role offers flexibility without compromising your career.
High Staff Engagement & Low Attrition: Our client regularly monitors staff satisfaction and engagement.
When needed, they take quick action to address any issues.
Attrition is extremely low, reflecting their thoughtful planning, genuine care, and flexibility.
Culture of Excellence: This business values 'good people' and fosters a supportive, respectful workplace where employees take pride in their work.
OUR EXPERIENCE WITH THE CLIENT: We've partnered with this client for years and watched their success grow.
Best of all, our candidates are happy, and we never have to worry about backfilling roles—no one ever leaves!
This shows how much they value and care for their people.
If you'd like more information, please call Kylie Eadie on 0420 96 95 95.
