About the role St John Ambulance (Vic) are seeking Transport Officers – Deceased Persons to support our partnership with the Coroners Court Victoria.
Providing transport services of deceased persons in the Melbourne Metropolitan region and surrounds as well as repatriation services to regional Victoria.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, working as a partnership with a crew member (collections from place of death) or individually during repatriation.
The role involves working a rotation roster, 8-10 hour shifts.
During these shifts you will be activated as required for a collection or planned repatriations.
This role is based at our Notting Hill headquarters but will require travel throughout Melbourne Metro and regional Victoria. As our ideal candidate, you will possess: A high level of resilienceExcellent communication skills and the ability to manage complex situations with integrity and confidentialityAbility to work collaboratively within a team environmentUnderstanding and experience with OHS and manual handling proceduresDemonstrated experience working with deceased persons and associated stakeholders including family members will be highly regardedDemonstrated professional and respectful approach when handling and transporting deceased persons will be highly regardedGood verbal and nonverbal communication skillsFull driver's license with a safe driving recordDon't meet every requirement?
