The Opportunity Based at our Dandenong Head office, The Transport Network Planner is a key position in the Network Planning Department that contributes to keeping Melbourne moving.
This role is responsible for the on-road operational and support activities associated with providing a reliable, effective, and professional service which meets customer expectation and Ventura's contractual requirements.

Duties of this position will include: Maintaining rosters in accordance with legislation and Enterprise Agreements Development of business cases to improve services for customers Route design planning Service capacity planning Provide weekly performance statistics Establish and maintain sound working relationships with schools, VicRoads, PTV and all relevant stakeholders Skills & Experience Degree or Diploma in Data Science, Logistics, Planning or Engineering (preferred) Experience in planning for an Australian Public Transport Company Experience in the Austrics, Hastus or Optibus scheduling system (preferred but not required) Formal Software and Scheduling Theory training provided, as well as on the job mentoring by senior experts in their field Proficient in Microsoft Excel Sound knowledge of planning, scheduling and rostering principles Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Flexible and positive attitude Strong communication skills, verbal and written Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team High attention to detail.
