Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Transport Manager at Northern Stevedoring Services (NSS) in Townsville, QLD.
As a Transport Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily transportation operations, managing fleet logistics, ensuring efficient supply chain management, and providing exceptional customer service to clients.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our industry-leading In Vehicle Management Systems (IVMS) and fleet compliance.
Qualifications Operations Management and Transportation Management skillsCustomer Service and Communication skillsStrong organizational and problem-solving abilitiesKnowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standardsExperience in the logistics or transportation industryExperience dealing with (NHVR) and (TMR)About You We are seeking candidates who meet the following requirements:
Demonstrate commitment to NSS's values of ethical behavior, focus on customers, focus on people, and commitment to excellence.Hold a current manual Australian Drivers Licence and MSIC.Possess detailed knowledge and understanding of transport and logistics processes.Have previous bulk storage management experience.Have supervisory experience in a similar role.The ability to work autonomously with a flexible roster.Proven leadership, negotiation, and well-developed customer relation skills.Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft office applications including Word and Excel.Frontline Management and safety training is highly desirable, as well as a high-risk forklift licence.The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive remuneration package and a diverse work environment with a well-established company.
