Transport Manager Leeds 60,000 + Benefits Our client is a growing logistics business with a number of locations across the UK. We are supporting in their recruitment of a Transport Manager to be based out of their site in Leeds, overseeing an experienced Transport team which includes a large fleet of vehicles and drivers.Key ResponsibilitiesDay to day responsibility for Transport operations including business requirements and customer service levelsProvide leadership to Transport team ensuring they adhere to company policies and proceduresDemonstrate strong commercial acumen and hold P&L responsibilityNamed on company O'LicenseEnsure all environmental, H&S, quality and legal standards are met by staying up to date with transport legislationPlan and manage transport resources effectively, including fleet planning & maintenance and labour resourcingProvide excellent service to customers, including regular reviews and sharing of best practicesOptimise vehicle utilisation and availability through effective planningKey Skills & Experience Proven-record and experience working at Transport Manager levelBackground working in Retail or 3PL would be highly desirableStrong compliance background, ideally with experience being named on company O'LicenseExcellent communication skills, both written & verbal, with ability to influence stakeholdersCommercially savvy, with history managing P&LBig fleet experience (60+ vehicles) is required
