Transport Manager Location: Deeside Salary: £30,000 - 40,000 + pension + 26 days holiday + bank holidays + benefits Hours: Mon - Friday daytime A genuinely superb & quite unique opportunity for a Transport Manager to join a market-leading business to help set up and shape a department.
The Job: Working closely with the Warehouse and Logistics Managers to ensure operations are efficient and cost-effective.
Analyse and optimize transport routes to minimize costs, time, and environmental impact.
Collaborate with third-party transport providers, negotiating contracts and monitoring their performance.
Work closely with the warehouse, supply chain, and customer service teams to ensure seamless coordination across departments.
Monitor transport expenses, seek cost-saving opportunities, and prepare budgets for transport operations.
The Person: Experience gained in a similar role ideally working with 3PL.
Positive, friendly, good communication skills, and a desire to learn, grow, and develop.
Experience in coordinating and optimizing transportation logistics, including route planning and fleet management.
Familiarity with transport regulations and compliance standards at local, national, and international levels.
Practical experience with transport management systems (TMS) and route optimization tools is an advantage.
May suit a transport coordinator or similar seeking a step up.
