Due to continued growth an opportunity has become vacant in our Liverpool Warehouse at Knowsley for a Transport & Distribution Administrator .

Hours of Work: 40 per week
Reports to: Admin Manager
Salary Scale: Competitive
Private Healthcare Cover
Holidays: 32 per year
Transport & Distribution Administrator
To provide administration support for all Transport and Warehouse functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
PROCESSES:
Ensure all administrative tasks relating to the transport, distribution and returns departments are carried out consistently, accurately and in a timely manner.
To achieve customer order requirements within the agreed parameters relating to lead-time, cost, volume, and quality specification.
Assist in both load and route planning.
Complete returned goods documentation in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Manage the flow of information regarding the status of customer inbound/outbound deliveries.
Follow up between transport and our customers.
Build positive relationships with internal departments, suppliers and clients.
Handle incoming communication from customers and resolve customer enquiries.
Monitor and identify issues and trends.
Undertake any other tasks within the appropriate levels of responsibility or as directed by a member of the management team.
Contribute ideas which will improve our ability to provide exceptional customer service.
MANAGEMENT:
Effectively managing and liaising with people, both internal and external.
Working closely and building good relations with colleagues in the Transport Team.
PEOPLE:
Accept training to expand knowledge to ensure the requirement of the business is met.
Highlight issues of conduct within team.
Liaise with key internal stakeholders.
Work well as an individual and as part of a wider team.
CUSTOMER:
Act as an ambassador for Unilin in every transaction you have with our customers.
Meet regularly with the transport management team to ensure the site is operating efficiently, safely, maintained to a high standard including housekeeping, cost effectively in line with KPIs and Service Pledge.
Develop & maintain relationships with all customers.
COMMUNICATIONS:
Share knowledge with team and provide additional support when required.
Support the provision of accurate and timely information around the business.
Strong communication skills and proven ability to work as part of cross functional teams.
Verbal and written communication at all levels.
HEALTH & SAFETY:
Work within the Health and Safety Guidelines set out by the Company.
Check compliance adherence for Digital Tachographs and drivers hours and infringements monitored.
Be aware of the Risk assessments applicable to you and comply with relevant Safe Systems of Work.
THE COMPANY:
This job description is not exhaustive and will be reviewed from time to time and amended by agreement.
There will be an annual Performance Review with your Manager/Supervisor to consider progress, job description and performance in the post.
There may be a need for other comparable duties to be undertaken by the post holder from time to time as required by management.
Everyone has a responsibility to adhere to all companywide policies and procedures, which are updated from time to time.
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
Competent computer skills in the use of Microsoft office packages and in-house programs.
Route Planning experience of all UK areas.
Be able to interpret data and provide reports as and when required.
The role holder is required to have a disciplined, conscientious approach and be capable of dealing with various administrative / planning tasks simultaneously.
Problem solving skills are necessary due to the dynamic nature of the company's transport activities.
