YOUR ROLE CEVA Logistics is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Transport Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team at Orchard Hills NSW. In this role, you will focus on driving continuous improvement initiatives within our transport operations, enhancing efficiency and optimising performance.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? Collaborate with transport teams to analyse and improve processes, utilising LEAN and continuous improvement methodologies to optimise the flow of goods and reduce waste.Lead projects aimed at process re-engineering, driving efficiency through strategic changes, and redesigning operational layouts to enhance transport operations.Provide expert guidance and support to transport sites, enabling successful execution of Kaizen activities through training, coaching, and data analysis.Develop and maintain Business Process Excellence (BPE) tools, including 5S & Scheduling tools, performance boards, and productivity and utilisation reports, specifically tailored to transport functions.Guide and mentor our operations teams to achieve and maintain target levels in our site accreditation program, focusing on transport efficiency and safety standards.WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Our ideal candidate is tertiary qualified in industrial engineering (or a related field) with solid experience in a continuous improvement role, preferably within the logistics, transport, or supply chain sectors.
Other attributes: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with process improvement tools such as Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, specifically applied within transport or logistics environments.Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills to drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement in transport operations.Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, draw actionable insights, and make recommendations that enhance transport efficiency.Proficient in MS Excel, including VLOOKUPS and pivot tables (bonus: VBA, Macros) to support data analysis and reporting.In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to complete a medical assessment and national police check.
