We are looking for a Transport Company Manager to manage the company's operations, staff and liaise with clients.
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Previous experience within the transport sector, at a similar senior management role (Preferably within retail FMCG and temperature control transport experience) Excellent business acumen with the ability to solve operational issues with outside of the box thinking, and ultimately contribute to the company continued expansion A results-driven individual who is resilient, adaptable, with a positive mindset, and a high level of integrity Excellent communication and leadership skills and experience The ability to handle various projects simultaneously and independently. Current Covid vaccinations, criminal history check and a medical will all be required for this role Job Description and Key responsibilities Plan with the Director to determine budgeting and responsible in organizing and managing the company's operations. Liaison with clients to determine requirements and providing customers with advice and information regarding vehicle type, purchase or hire rates and obligations and handling complaints. Responsible for the justification, specification, selection, purchase, maintenance of transport vehicles, other necessary equipment, systems, and fuel. Co-ordinate activities associated with the arrival, departure, loading and unloading of transport vehicles. Determine staffing levels, job descriptions, and in the recruitment of drivers and support staff. Remain knowledgeable on current industry regulations, trends, and other relevant information. Receive orders and bookings, planning and implementing transport schedules. Ensuring goods are stored and transported in conditions that will maintain their quality. Maintaining business records and prepare operational statements and reports. Arranging collection and delivery of vehicle and goods to meet customer expectations. Develop and implement compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. Job Type : Full-time
