Key Responsibilities: Plan, direct, and coordinate the transport operations of the company to achieve maximum efficiency and profitability. Manage and optimize the use of company vehicles and ensure that the fleet operates in accordance with safety and regulatory standards. Oversee the recruitment, training, and supervision of drivers and support staff to ensure operational effectiveness. Monitor transport costs, develop budgets, and implement strategies to minimize expenses and improve profitability. Ensure the timely and safe delivery of goods, resolving any logistical or customer issues that may arise. Implement and enforce compliance with transport policies, procedures, and regulations. Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless transport operations. Analyze and manage data related to transport activities, coordinate on leasing and financing of the vehicles. Develop and implement strategies to expand the company's market presence and customer base. Coordinate maintenance schedules and manage any unexpected vehicle repairs to minimize operational disruptions. Ensure compliance with environmental policies and vehicle emission standards. Requirements: A minimum of 2 years of experience in transport, logistics, or related management roles. Minimum diploma in transport, logistics, business management, or a related field is necessary. A substantial work experience in Australia may substitute the requirement of qualification. Strong knowledge of transport regulations, safety protocols, and operational procedures in Australian vehicle rental industry. Proven ability to manage a fleet of vehicles and coordinate transport activities. Demonstrated experience in budget management, cost control, and improving operational efficiencies. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team of drivers and staff. Ability to work under pressure and resolve issues in a timely manner. Familiarity with transport management systems, GPS tracking, and other relevant software for managing logistics operations. Skills and Attributes: Ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team of drivers and support staff. Proficiency in analyzing operational challenges and making quick, effective decisions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
