About the role As the Transport Commercial Manager, you will lead the development and execution of commercial strategies to optimise transportation operations, drive revenue and enhance profitability of the Inbound Bunnings Transport network across our new Program.
This is a key role that will be instrumental in achieving operational excellence, fostering innovation, and delivering superior customer service within the transportation function.
What's involved: Provide strategic business cases and analytical steer through commercial modelling to drive continuous transport improvement initiativesConduct optimisation, pricing (including rate card bottom-up pricing) and benchmarking analysis on freight profile and spendProvide creative and innovative, workable solutions and recommendations to reduce cost or improve efficiencyFocus strongly on weekly/monthly reporting, the key being a detailed understanding of what is driving the variation in commercial performanceProvide leadership, guidance and mentoring to the broader team across analysisWho we're looking for You will be a strategic thinker, with strong business commercial acumen in a transport environment. You will have well developed experience in developing and presenting business cases for change and ability to communicate and convey complex ideas and recommendations to diverse audiences.
Your excellent communication skills will enable you to build trusted relationships across stakeholders and ensure you can influence positive outcomes for the business.
You'll need: CPA, Commercial, Supply Chain or Statistics formal qualificationsSignificant demonstrated experience in transportation management, commercial operations and strategic leadershipAdvanced analytical skills with proficiency in financial analysis, data interpretation and strategic decision-makingDemonstrated experience in transport operations and understanding of key cost drivers in a Transport networkAbility to build reports using Power BI and advanced Microsoft Excel SkillsWe're here to support you.
