Manager, Operational Practice - Domestic Animal Services Based at the Domestic Animal Services facility in Symonston, the Operational Practice Manager plays a critical role by ensuring our processes are, using a risk-based approach, well documented, accessible to workers, and communicated to workers through training programs and other methods. This includes writing, refining, and updating Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Risk Assessments, and other documents.
Working closely with the elected Health and Safety Representative(s) and the TCCS Safety and Wellbeing Branch, the position will play an important role as the health and safety advisor. You will collaborate with TCCS Safety and Wellbeing Branch to support the implementation of the Directorates WHS Management System (SafetyNet), including the development of policies and procedures for our service activities.
As an important member of the team, the Operational Practice Manager will work collaboratively with other staff to ensure that tasks and hazards are managed, with safety and wellbeing at the forefront of everything we do. You will contribute to the development, achievement, and continuous improvement of team objectives and plans to ensure the service meets community standards and expectations.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:
This position requires a National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People Check prior to commencement. Possession of a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, or ability to attain within the first 12 months of commencement, is required. Experience in conducting risk assessments, developing safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations in a similar industry would be highly desirable. Note: An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
