An exciting opportunity has arisen at TMR as the Internal Audit Director in our Internal Audit branch.
As the Internal Audit Director you will report to the Chief Auditor and will provide day to day oversight and management of the Internal Audit branch through the planning, co-ordination, monitoring and assessment of all financial, information systems, operational and performance audits across TMR.
The Department of Transport and Main Roads aims to provide reliable, resilient and responsive transport networks that are safe and accessible for everyone. Internal Audit plays an important role in helping the department achieve its objectives by providing advice and assurance to the Director-General and Executive Leadership Team. This position reports to the Chief Auditor and has 3 direct reports and up to 13 indirect reports.
Per annum - $161,770 to $169,261
Per fortnight - $6,200.60 to $6,487.80

About the Role As the Director in the Internal Audit branch, you will provide day to day oversight and management through the planning, co-ordination, monitoring and assessment of all financial, information systems, operational and performance audits across Transport and Main Roads, influencing change and improving the management of risk encountered in the delivery of audit services.
Responsibilities Managing the day-to-day activities of the Internal Audit Unit Supporting and deputising for the Chief Auditor Assisting with the development of the Internal Audit Plan, methodology and quality assurance processes Developing strong and effective networks and relationships with key stakeholders across the department Skills & Experience Applicants must hold an appropriate qualification as detailed in the Role Description.
