Professional | Full-Time | Supply Chain and LogisticsThe Transportation function operates within the Regional Logistics team, which is part of the APAC region's COO Regional Supply Chain and Transport department. We seek a candidate with extensive experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in an international environment rich in cultural diversity. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing transportation and customs activities in Australia, encompassing import, export, and domestic distribution tasks.Responsibilities:Must have hands-on experience in Export/Import/domestic transportation, which includes Sea, Air, courier, landslide and over-dimensional transportation.Must know about dealing with Australia and New Zealand Customs and documentation activities.Ensure a high level of safety and quality culture & emphasize the same in all activities.Proactively drive analyses to ensure business continuity and improve business by constructing, standardizing, and leading improvement projects.Monitor and report transport risks and create periodic management information reports.Close collaboration with Customs authorities, port authorities, Internal customers, site and service stakeholders, and external logistics service providers.Ensure documentary errors or process gaps/oversight do not lead to extra costs for Vestas through delays, fines, penalties etc.Performance management of forwarders and logistics business partners.On-time payments to service providers, budget vs actual and support for transportation claims.Coordinate general and project transport planning (eg: Road Surveys) and executions of wind turbine spares, tools, transport equipment and main components.Learn and extend support for transport and customs activities in NEA regions other than ANZ.Ensure on-time, Quality and cost for our inbound/outbound transport operation for factories, service & sites and construction teams.Capacity and capability assessment of supplier base to meet future requirements.Qualification:5+ years of experience in Transportation/Logistics combined with a bachelor's or master's degree in either Supply Chain Management or Logistics.Demonstrated experience in Transportation and Logistics Operations of Wind Turbine Generators or similar products.Proficient in Microsoft Office Package required (Solid experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint) and SAP MM / SAP TM modules are an advantage.Strong Analytical skills and use business knowledge for results.Proactively identify problems and implement effective solutions.Effective stakeholder Management, Ensuring collaboration, simplicity, accountability & Passion.Strong interpersonal & ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization.High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.Fluent in English communication (Oral & Written).Flexible work hours and flexible for occasional travel.Structured and organized to deliver within deadlines.Proactive, self-driven and Ready to go the extra mile to reach the target.Wind mill manufacturing industry experience / Heavy equipment manufacturing experience is preferred.Additional information:All potential employees will be subject to undertaking a full medical assessment to be considered for this role.Please note: We do amend or withdraw our jobs and reserve the right to do so at any time, including before the advertised closing date.Location: Lyndhurst Warehouse 5 days a week.Join the World's Leading Wind Energy Solutions Provider.Excellent Career Development opportunities both Nationally and Globally.A workplace that embraces Diversity and Inclusion.13 weeks Paid Primary Carers Leave.3 weeks Paid Secondary Carers Leave.Employee Assistance Program.Vestas is an equal opportunity employer.
