We are committed to efficiency, innovation, and customer satisfaction. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Transport Allocator to join our dynamic team.
Job Description: As a Transport Allocator, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient allocation and scheduling of vehicles for the transportation of goods. Working closely with drivers, logistics teams, and customers, you will be responsible for ensuring that all transport operations are carried out smoothly, on time, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities: Allocate and schedule transport routes based on customer requirements, vehicle availability, and driver schedules.Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods.Monitor and track fleet movements to optimize route efficiency and reduce operational costs.Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the transportation process, including rerouting and rescheduling as necessary.Communicate with internal teams (logistics, customer service, warehouse) to ensure the smooth flow of operations.Maintain accurate records of vehicle allocations, routes, and schedules.Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and transportation regulations.Provide timely updates and reports to senior management on transport performance.Skills & Experience: Proven experience in a transport or logistics planning/allocating role, preferably in road transport.Strong organisational and multitasking skills with an eye for detail.Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.Proficient in transport management software or scheduling tools.Knowledge of transport regulations and industry best practices.Why Join Us?
