They will take the lead on partnering strategies and collaborate closely with the practice supply chain. It's essential for the Transmission Technical Director to work closely with AtkinsRéalis global market leads, especially those in Canada and the GTC. Additionally, they will oversee the project delivery support function, providing day-to-day process and project management.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Act as the first point of contact in developing trusted, sustainable, and valued relationships with our T&D clients.Drive best practice and a professional leading-edge approach to the application of Health and Safety and CDM in the T&D market.Contribute to the overall market strategy and execution of the annual business plan.Identify and manage portfolio risks, and properly escalate and report to CEO any key decisions.Oversee the performance of Project Managers and Project Directors where applicable.Delivery of market revenue, profit and practice demand in line with or exceeding agreed budgets.Ensure an appropriate regime of project reviews within the market based on risk.Oversee business development and successful bidding to create a sustainable pipeline of work.Lead and own our market proposition and thought leadership, in conjunction with our Win Work teams.Provide leadership, management and engineering/technical guidance to the T&D team and its staff.Ensure Bid processes are executed according to the AtkinsRéalis processes, including Service Delivery Process and other governance.Manage financial performance of projects in your portfolio, including P&L accountability.Directing key staff recruitment, resourcing and development initiatives.Assess the market and support innovation of services and technical approaches to build a robust and resilient market facing organisation.Desired Skills, Experience and CapabilitiesExcellent communication, collaboration, team-working and influencing skills.Experience of leading high performing teams and ability to build trust, influence and motivate others.Highly experienced in financial and commercial management for large and complex portfolios of projects.Experience of successful negotiation and dispute resolution.Experience in developing and winning bids and their governance.Contractual, commercial and project delivery knowledge, including large, complex and firm price projects.A well-rounded leadership and management background with demonstrable experience of project portfolio management.Ability to lead and support a diverse group of bid and project delivery teams.An eye for detail you will be numerically astute and able to combine experience and instinct with logic and a grasp of the detail.Tertiary qualifications or an equivalent and the relevant professional accreditations.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONWe're not all the same and that's our greatest strength and we believe that 'Different Makes a Difference.'
