We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and driven Transmission Line Project Manager, to join our Regional NSW operations, who will be responsible for overseeing and managing the construction of transmission lines, specifically focusing on Tower Assembly Works and Transmission Line Stringing Works. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed project plans for Tower Assembly and Line Stringing phases of the transmission line construction.Coordinate the delivery and staging of materials, equipment, and personnel to ensure timely execution of key project milestones.Oversee the preparation of work areas, including site levelling, access tracks, and safety zones, to facilitate the safe and efficient operation of cranes and other heavy machinery.Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring the safety of all personnel and the surrounding environment.Implement and enforce site-specific safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), crane safety, and the management of hazardous materials.Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers, supervisors, crane operators, and support staff involved in the tower assembly and line stringing phases.Manage subcontractors, ensuring they meet performance, quality, and safety standards consistent with Boom Logistics' expectations.Liaise with landholders, community representatives, and regulatory bodies to address concerns and ensure project activities are conducted with minimal disruption to local communities.Prepare and submit regular financial reports, including forecasts, variances, and budgetary adjustments as needed.Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising on safety or quality.Implement environmental management plans during tower assembly and line stringing to mitigate impacts on local flora, fauna, and ecosystems.Ensure compliance with all environmental permits and reporting requirements as dictated by Boom Logistics' environmental policies.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.Minimum of 2 years in project management, transmission line construction or similar infrastructure projects.Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), strong understanding of electrical transmission systems, and experience with crane operations and rigging.Demonstrated knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality assurance practices in the construction industry.Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams, managing contractors, and coordinating with diverse stakeholders.Strong ability to plan, execute, and oversee large-scale construction projects with a focus on safety, quality, and timeliness.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively liaising with all levels of stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges and implement effective solutions.Ability to work in various outdoor environments and manage physical tasks related to construction oversight.Capacity to travel and work on-site for extended periods, including potential weekend or evening work as required by project schedules.If you are a motivated individual with a passion for operational excellence and are looking to join a dynamic team, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity by submitting your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and qualifications.
