It produces a premium, high-grade concentrate product for export to steelmakers.The opportunityThis Perth office based position is for a Translator & Company Support Officer to join our Karara Executive Support team on a 12-month maximum term contract.The successful candidate will provide professional and confidential interpreting/translation services and administrative support to the CEO, Senior Leadership team and other leaders and staff. This role also supports Perth Office general administrative duties when required and directed.To be successful in the role, the following is essential:Tertiary qualification in Translation and Interpreting or other relevant disciplineProficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook and ExcelExtensive experience in translation and interpretingProven experience in a similar role within the mining or other heavy industry would be advantageousStrong written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detailNational Police ClearanceCurrent WA Driver's License would be advantageousTo be eligible to apply for this role you must be legally permitted to work permanently in Australia.Key Duties (but not limited to):Provide effective and efficient interpreting and translation services & administrative support services.Provide interpreting service for business meetings.Provide translation for written documents including but not limited to monthly reports, presentations, business reports, emails, memos, contracts, policies and procedures.Draft documents including letters, reports, memos, emails, presentations and other business documents.Arrange international, domestic and site travel bookings.Provide coverage for Perth Office reception when required.Accounting system data entry, monthly corporate credit cards reconciliation, monthly cost accruals when required.Facilitate Karara Mine Site and Port employee visits to Perth Office, including assignment of a hot desk.About Karara MiningLocated 200 km south-east of Geraldton in the Shire of Perenjori, Western Australia, Karara has an expected mine life of 30+ years. The operation includes a large open pit mine, complex ore processing and beneficiation plant and significant infrastructure and logistics networks.
