We are seeking a Transition Engagement Officer (Equity) to join Learning and Teaching Unit, Education Portfolio, Academic Division.
The position of Transition Engagement Officer (Equity) is responsible for providing operational and business support for transitions programs targeting students in priority groups.
The role works closely with the Student Success Educator (Equity) and other team members in Student Success and Retention to contribute to a culture of fostering student support and success in an inclusive and accessible environment.
In delivering this support you will liaise with key stakeholders from across the University in collaborative ventures and take an active part in student initiatives.

What you need to succeed Education, training and/or experience equivalent to completion of a degree or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.An understanding of the challenges faced by students from underrepresented groups and/or experience working with these cohorts.Proven written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse range of people to deliver quality client service, negotiate effective outcomes and solve problems.Demonstrated effective time management and organisational skills, with the ability to complete tasks within conflicting deadlines and to a high degree of accuracy.Demonstrated experience in helping to organise and facilitate events and presentations, including use of on-line systems to manage and promote events.Demonstrated digital literacy including the ability to use standard office software (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, email), internet tools and databases, and experience in managing system requirements.Life at QUT We're committed to building a culture that fosters connection between people and purpose.
